Our Invitation Card

I know many of you are wondering which invitation card we have chosen for our wedding. Ha... I have 50-50 of you guessing both Gold or Red... (Sorry, it doesn't come in Black, I was just playing with Photoshop.)

Some friends can tell me that they are very sure I surely have gotten the Gold. Ha! I got the RED!!! Sorry ah, Jessie...

We were told that nowadays many couples no longer send out physical cards anymore, except for senior folks & I have many friends who do not need any cards. Good leh... no need to mail so many!

Shopping with Mom

We brought my mother to Chinatown to get some accessories for her dress for our wedding, at the same time to look out for any wedding decor I may need for this BIG day.

(Psst!... E's mom has just tailor-made a 2-pc matt gold dress for herself & is only expected to collect end of May. Hee...)

Upon arrival of Pearl Centre, we spotted some traditional items required for a chinese wedding! Interesting stuffs!
Teapot set for tea ceremony; Double Happiness lamp for the bedroom (remember the traditional ones that burn on oil??); a pair of candles to burn overnight before the Groom picks the Bride (my sister told me somebody has to watch over the flame throughout  the night & make sure that they cannot be out!) etc. Aiyo... So leh cheh la!... Will skip this then. Ha...

So many cute & nice teapot sets!! But I can't buy... cos many of my friends already have them & I am supposed to cut costs by borrowing...  :(

I really like this set on the left! Something different from the typical designs, and yet traditional in its own way.

Guestlist

Finally we have confirmed on the artwork for our invitation card & approved for printing currently! And, I'm still keeping the colour of the card a mystery! Hee.... we'll be collecting the cards this week!...

It's really a HEADACHE when comes to sorting names, planning seating arrangement, informing friends & relatives about the date & getting everyone to R.S.V.P.*!
*"Répondez s'il vous plaît", a French phrase that translates to "Please respond".

Think we are too kiasu as it seems too early to get everyone to confirm?? :p  Also because it is school holiday in June so many cannot decide whether to go for holiday or attend our wedding blah blah blah... So many calls & sms & emails & ecards to send boy!
See our heads big big now man...  8-(

Movies! Movies! Movies!

My review:  3 stars

The funny part is, Sammo Hung's son appeared only like 1 min, before he was killed! Haha...

My review:  2.5 stars
Ok only... not much anticipation and some parts I'm just not smart enough to catch.
However, doesn't matter so long can see Keanu Reeves!! Hee...

Cute wedding gift

Got this pair of pen from my sister, who got it from HK. It's soo cute as it's a Mickey Groom & Minnie Bride! Sweet!

Eythan's mom got us these 3 different sets of red packet for our actual wedding day distribution. So cute right??!

For size of this angbao, I think can only put 1x $2 note each. Hee... :p

Dowry Jewelry 5 April 08

Time to buy my    四点金!...

Frankly, I have never bought any gold for myself in my entire life & I really couldn't find one that I really want... Maybe there is nothing in that shop that suits me.  :(   So Eythan & his mom chose the bracelet + necklace for me. Gold price currently - $44.5 per gram. Geez...

Eythan's mom bought her birthday present too, a gold bangle (and courtesy of her 3 children)!

That night, it's Ben & Jerry's time again! This time @ Dempsey...

Close friend, Sir Aloysius, flew home from Melbourne lately so we brought him to somewhere happening. Ended up too happening a place we can't hear one another so we left early after our B&J rounds.

Cute Ying Xuan posing on daddy's lap.

The big hoohah...

Went Vivocity with A&A (i.e. Alvin & Angie) for our fav Dian Xiao Er dinner. Ended up with great disappointment! This may be the last time we go... sigh!
1) They have a change of staffs. No more the warm aunties & friendly young students... :"(  New staffs are mostly non-locals & were rude.
2) The menu changed. Less valued for money & without our fav Mongolian Pork Ribs!
3) Eythan had arguement with the chinese national Manager over the soup, and who was not apologetic at all & was sarcastic! #$%@  Going to write an offiicial complaint letter to their Mgmt soon!

After his complaint letter to the Mgmt, their GM called Eythan personally to apologise & assure him that he will look into this matter. Good the customer service is still there...

Super long queue beyond the entrance waiting foyer...

The subject of complaint - the soup. Instead of having it served on porcelain ware, they now serve it on plastic bowl! Smaller portion & cold.  Pathetic!

Went Pacific Coffee right after dinner, for our coffee & cheesecakes dessert! For Eythan, 2nd round of dinner... Burger King!

Happened to see this picture in 1 magazine there. Super cute!! Must show here... This yoga pose is called "Downward Facing Dog".
