Our CNY Celebration!

Ey's TCM physician advised him to "light" lantern at Relic Temple @ Chinatown for luck and smooth sailing throughout the new year. We went before the Lunar New Year and boy... the sight was beautiful, with hundreds of red lanterns hung along the parameter of the temple. The whole temple is so majestic!
If you go there, can see his "lantern" numbered 0866.

REUNION DINNERS

Dinner with Eythan's family @ Long Beach, Dempsey on 4 Feb .

Check that out! Shark's fin, Durian Pudding, Chilli Crab... Evil food... hee...

Dinner with Serene's family @ Sharon Maison, Punggol.

I love my golden mushrooms.... lotsa lotsa of it! And all the different chilli for the spread! Thanks, Sha!! Sorry we can't be there to help out cos need to go for wedding gown selection. :p Next yr I trrrry!

Tea with Ascanio

My client, Colleen made these delicious pineapple tarts & new year cookies with her hubby. I bought some malay snacks to share too! End up too much food...

Snacks from Shawn & gifts from Xerene

Shawn came back from Hong Kong with this especially for us... Husband & Wife biscuits... So cute! The irony part is, we each took 1 of our own role without thinking!

Xerene also gave us this mini tees from Hong Kong too. How appropriate!!

CNY Eve - River Angbao @ Marina.

As usual, every year we will try to go there for the spirit of CNY. Nontheless, we went & managed to catch the fireworks across Padang, JUST ON TIME!!! We got one of the best view from between the Supreme Court & City Hall.

The night ended quite a big hooha... All of us parked at The Adelphi building & by the time we got back there, the carpark's shutter was down! Well, there was a MINI sign stating that the carpark will be closed from 1am... but c'mon man!!... At least practice some flexibility when we called the security to retrieve our vehicles! @#$%...

Eventually, we came to the side entrance & realised we were not the only one stranded! There were like 20 other car owners talking to the security guards. Got Ah Bengs & Ah Lians shouting, tired grandparents sitting around, maids frantic & babies crying! Really felt like taking my HP *snap snap* but the situation was so tensed I reckon it's not the best time to do that. Ha...

CNY Day One - 7 Feb 08

The time of the year when you can have everything new! Yeah...

CNY Day Two - 8 Feb 08

Nothing here cos we slept all day! ha... :p

CNY Day Three - 9 Feb 08

- Wil-Jess apartment @ Compassvale.

It was a reunion cum housewarming cum birthday party! We had some much fun with that Lou Hei the girls prepared that most of the food landed on our hands, table & floor! Huat ah!!... Sorry Wilson for the mess... :p

Getting all ready for the mess!!! Yeah!! Huat ah!!!

Look at the whole mess!! And of course, the lovely Chocolate Fondue I've made!

Mashmallows for below 10 & above 30s... Look at Stewart & Jewel sooo cute!

- Celebrating my birthday @ Pier Eleven, Marina South.

The 1st time we were there was to scout for our ROM venue. Doesn’t seem to provide that postive ambience the critics have been writing about. Place was empty, people was bored, carpark not free somemore! Ha…

Nonetheless, we decided to give their food a try… For someone who doesn’t take lamb, I must say this place has its worth! Ever since then, we went occasionally, and the last time we came here was last Dec where he proposed. (read more once I've done the"Our fav food"!)

- Old friend's matrimontial house @ Telok Blangah.
For the 1st time in my life I've heard of someone's house has got no fridge, after staying for years! Meaning: no eggs, no milk, no Ben&Jerry's ice-cream??! Hahaha... Well, good thing they finally bought one, before CNY this year.

Before we left for the night, the 6 of us had few rounds of Black Jack with 5 others and guess what?? In less than 2 hours, I had 10 Black Jacks!! Never been so lucky! Well, I won over a hundred dollars from the banker... i.e. Eythan!! Hahaha... Consider that a extra birthday gift then. :p

Cake cutting – exactly same cake as the one from Bengawan Solo! Haha… It’s CNY mah…
